My PhD research concentrates on interaction in a cross-cultural virtual organization. Currently, I am specifically interested in how the culture of an organization operating in a virtual environment is emerging in a dynamic process of interaction. As I have been working in such an environment for years, I will approach the research question as an ethnographer and employ the methods of mediated discourse analysis and nexus analysis.

  • While studying I enjoyed especially anything related to applied linguistics, such as discourse analysis/text analysis, sociolinguistics and stylistics. What I hated most was grammar and syntax, although I did really well in those, too.
